Victory Park Saratov is located on Mount Sokolova. The most famous object of the memorial complex is a 40-meter high monument "Cranes", dedicated to the residents of Saratov, who died during the Great Patriotic War.
The park was laid out in 1975 in honor of the 30th anniversary of Victory. Since then, the park is constantly replenished with new exhibits. And in 1982 Cranes, a monument was erected in the park. The author of the monument was the architect Saratov, war veteran Yuri Ivanovich Menyakin. He has long been the chief architect of the city.
Cranes have become one of the main characters in Saratov. This monument can be seen on postcards, stamps and tourist brochures about Saratov.
